There are many people we like in our life, I like bloggers the most :) So Here I am to interview Romy Singh [ Owner of Geeky writer ]
Here it is, 10 questions I asked him with answers :
Q 1: Give us an intro about yourself.You know this question cracks me up. Because it’s hard to say some words about my own self, even if I’m a writer. ;)
But I will try my best... My Name Is Romy Singh, I’m Aquarius by my zodiac sign and fairly inverted by my nature. I love to stay calm and living in my own world. I’m good listener; prefer to listen more then what I say. All this are common traits of writers, and I’m The One? ;)
Also I’m lover of Britney Spears, Addicted to coffee, Engineering Student, and a Mystifying Guy.
Q2: When did you start this blog and what was your spark to do so? Actually in real I stepped into blogosphere 2 years ago, with my first blog Crunchyblogger.com, where I used to share tips on blogging, social media, everything related to online world. But after sometime I realized that If I want to make some real difference in blogosphere and if I want to achieve my goal successfully then I way to walk on single road and have to be specific about what I share on my blog.
So after having a deep struggle with me, I realize that I’ve flair for writing. So I chose it, and started my new blog GeekyWriter.com, where I use to share writing tips and blogging tips.
And I started blogging to get fame not money. Because for me, fame is everything and if I had fame then I have money in my hand automatically. So fame is all I want... J
Q 3: Why did you choose Wordpress as your blogging platform?Every blogger want to make their blogging life easier, not harder. Right! And WordPress helps us to do that.
You get too much flexibility and features with WordPress that other CMS lacks off. So I made my move towards WordPress.
Q 4: What is the main reason you started your blog, for money or for your desire?Desire“The Desire Of Writer Grows With Writing.
”I’ve burning desire for writing and wanted to share it with the world. And I thought blog would be best way to do that, so GeekyWriter.com is result of that writing desire.
And my belief is that when you do the things that you love, money automatically follows you.
So don’t run for money, run for the things that you are passionate about. Because
Nothing great in the world has been accomplished without passion. – Georg Wilhelm Q 5: What is Google Page rank and Alexa rank according to you?According to me Page Rank and Alexa Rank has no important in my eyes. I never concerned about those 2 terms. They are just part of showcasing, people like’s to gain attention by saying that I’ve PR 5 and Alexa Ranking of 50k. But when you started to read their content you feel your tears are rolling down from your face, because of their fluffiness.
I’m too much engaged with content and the effort you put for your blog. Because these 2 things are crucial things if you want to created a successful blog. So forget about PR, AR and make your move towards quality content and meaningful content.
Q 6: When there are many blogs related to tech niche why did you also take it and how did you manage to stand out?Actually I don’t have any Tech Blog, but soon planning to start one. And as far as beating my competitors is concerned I only follow one effective tip to beat them all. And the tips is “Be Quick”
Yeah you heard it right be quick then your competitors, if there is tech news then cover it before you competitors know about it.
Q 7: From where, does your site get more visits?Right now my blog get more visitors from 3 major countries, US, India, Australia.
Q 8: While you blog do you think it as if it is a big deal or as your hobby?If you are doing anything that you love to do, then I don’t think that would be a big deal. And I love to blog, so it’s no big deal for me.
Q9: What is SEO and what do you think about it?In simple terms SEO means that optimizing your blog to get top placements in searching engines. And I things it’s important to consider if you want to get some traffic from search engines.
Q 10: Can you give some tips about blogging For My Blog audience?See you will get millions of blogging tips that you can use to mark your blog presence by Googling. But one thing that you will not get is inspiration to work on that tips.
The tips will be like just read and forget. And I think that’s not the right way to blog. If you really want to do something differentiating then all you need is some guidance (Google Comes here) and effort (That you’ve to put) to work on that tips.
Remember having knowledge is not a good thing, but using that knowledge is good thing.
But as you asked for tips so let me share my secrete blogging tips:
1- Be Specific (Don’t Blog About too much topic, one at a time is better)
2- Take care of your audience (Interact and engage with your blog audience)
3- Provide some interesting content.
